Verse – Colossians 3:5
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.
Thoughts
Do not walk according to the flesh, for doing so will only lead you to satisfy its desires. When Adam and Eve sinned against God, their spiritual connection with Him was broken, just as He had warned. Though they continued to live physically, they experienced spiritual death, and humanity entered a fallen world filled with corruption and immorality.
As a Christian, you are born again with an incorruptible spirit, the Holy Spirit. This new life in Christ calls you to grow and strengthen your spirit through meditating on God’s Word and following His guidance. By aligning yourself with His will, you begin to replace the works of the flesh with the fruit of the Spirit.
The flesh produces harmful behaviors such as sexual immorality and impurity, as mentioned in Colossians 3:5. However, by walking in the Spirit, you cultivate qualities like love, joy, peace, and self-control, which are the evidence of God’s presence in you.
Your journey in Christ requires you to nurture and build up your spirit so you can resist any influence that seeks to separate you from God’s purpose. Through the strength found in Jesus, you are equipped to stand firm against all spiritual opposition.

Declaration
I declare that I will walk in the Spirit, not in the flesh. My life is no longer led by earthly desires but by the power of the Holy Spirit within me. I am renewed and reborn in Christ, living with an incorruptible spirit that is aligned with God’s purpose.
Prayer
Dear Lord,
Help me to walk faithfully in the Spirit.
Do not let me succumb to the temptations of this world,
Keep me strong against the distractions of lust.
Protect me from anything that would lead me away from You,
and let me never be drawn into paths or groups that don’t honour You.
Grant me contentment and keep my heart steady,
anchored in Your Word and Your truth.
Hold me close under Your wing, Lord,
and guide me each day to stay in Your presence.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
