Prayers For Help That Melt Troubles Away

Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.
Psalm 82:3

Before salvation, every Christian was poor, poor in spirit. Man was lost, heading toward destruction, sleepwalking through life and at the mercy of the evil one. Christ came to save man from this destruction through His death and resurrection. This event granted us the right to be called children of God.

Now that you have received this unearned grace through God’s wonderful gesture from God, it is your responsibility to pay it forward. As a disciple of Christ, you must care for those in need, as He has commanded. You are now an instrument of Christ here on earth, called to put His words into action.

When people pray for help, God will count on you to be His hands and feet in meeting their needs. When He blesses you, it is not so you can hoard those resources for yourself, but so you can use them to bless others. When God lights you up, He does so that you may shine through the darkness, showing others the way never to hide it under your bed.

It is a sin to despise one’s neighbor, but blessed is the one who is kind to the needy.
Luke 14:21

There are many people in this world who are in desperate need of help. As you go about your shopping, buying things for yourself and your family, keep an eye out for those who may not have the privileges you enjoy. You will find people sleeping on the streets, going hungry, and struggling in ways you may never have experienced.

Your job as a Christian is to fill the need for these people, to answer the prayers of those in need. Let them see you and praise God because of your kindness. It doesn’t matter how little you can do to help, every act of kindness makes a difference. Always strive to make an impact on others lives.

Do as Christ did when He walked the earth. He never missed an opportunity to help those in need. Being a Christian means following in the footsteps of Christ, not turning your back on those who need help.

It means saying yes when everyone else says no. It means opening up your home to those who need warmth and shelter. It means following up with those who need help and using whatever expertise you’ve gained in life to help them survive.

Everyone needs help at some point in their lives. There are times when you don’t even know how you will survive the immediate future. It’s okay. In this fallen world, you will face difficult situations. It doesn’t matter whether you are saved or not; trials and temptations will come.

In all of this, remember that Christ has already overcome them. When you are in pain, let it not cause you to lose hope in God. Know that He still cares for you and can redeem you from any bad situation you find yourself in.He is merciful. He is love, and He knows what is good for you, even if you do not understand it yourself.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble
