One of the most heartbreaking realities in life is losing a mother just when she was about to reap the rewards of her sacrifices.
So many mothers spend their entire lives working tirelessly to provide for their children, sacrificing their own dreams, health, and comfort just to ensure their children have a better future.
They endure sleepless nights worrying about school fees, go without so their children never have to, and bear burdens they never speak of.
And then, just when life starts to look promising, when the child is about to graduate, when that first salary comes in, when success finally knocks, some mothers do not live long enough to see it. They leave before they can enjoy the peace and fulfillment they so rightly deserve.
The child is left with a bittersweet ache, celebrating life’s milestones with a heart heavy with grief, wishing their mother was there to see it all.
Today, take a moment to pray for your mother’s long life. Seek God’s divine health, strength, and protection over her. Pray that she lives to see you succeed, that she gets to laugh in the days to come, and that she experiences the joy of watching you thrive.
