Pray For Deliverance – John 8:36

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

The cycle of pornography addiction may feel impossible to break, but there is nothing too difficult for God. Scripture assures us that if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. Deliverance is possible through Christ.

Jesus also teaches us in Hebrews 11:6 that faith is essential to receiving what we ask for. Pray in faith for deliverance, believing that God is able to break this chain in your life. Have no doubt in your heart—trust that the Lord can and will set you free.

Below is a prayer you can use as a guide when praying for deliverance, along with Bible verses to meditate on as you pray.

Prayer of deliverance

Dear Lord,  
Please deliver me from any demon that seeks to take hold of my heart. Place Your holy hand upon me and cast out any lustful spirit that resides within me. Cover my eyes from all that is impure, and let me not find pleasure in the company of harlots. Cleanse me with Your Holy Spirit, and let Your fire run through me, destroying all evil thoughts and killing any demonic manipulations. Cast out this pornographic demon from my life, Lord, and let my life reflect Your divine touch. Help me to draw near to You always, as I seek the freedom that only You can provide. 
Amen.

Bible verses to meditate on

James 4:7

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

This verse reminds us that through submission to God and resistance to temptation, we can overcome any addiction, including porn addiction. By relying on God’s strength, we can find the power to resist the temptations that lead us astray.

2 Corinthians 1:10

He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us

This verse reassures us of God’s faithfulness in delivering us from perilous situations. Just as God has delivered us in the past, we can trust that He will continue to deliver us from the grips of porn addiction.

Psalm 34:17

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.

In times of distress and struggle, we can cry out to the Lord for deliverance. He hears our cries and promises to deliver us from all our troubles, including the bondage of pornography addiction.

Psalm 91:14-15

Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

This passage reminds us that God’s love for us is unwavering and that He is always ready to rescue and deliver us from our struggles. By calling on His name and seeking His help, we can find deliverance from porn addiction.

Matthew 6:13

And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
