Luke 11:28 meaning

Jesus taught many sermons, and people loved listening to him speak because his words were anything but ordinary. He taught about things beyond the physical world, things that stirred the soul and resonated with the spirit. His parables were wonderful to hear, as he used everyday experiences to help people understand God’s love and sacrifice.

In one teaching, Jesus explained why he could not be casting out demons through the power of the devil, since a house divided against itself cannot stand. After hearing this, a woman, clearly touched by his words, declared that his mother’s womb must be the luckiest and most blessed in the world. In response, Jesus said to her, “Instead, blessed are those who hear God’s word and obey it.”

This means that to truly be blessed, we can’t stop at just reading the Bible or listening to sermons; we must put what we learn into action. True blessing comes from living out God’s word in our daily lives.

Prayer

Almighty God,
Thank you for your word that you have brought to me. I pray that you help me not to only listen but to keep your words deeply in my heart and obey it. Guide me to live in alignment with your word. Help me to live a life that brings honor to your name. Thank you, dear God, for hearing and answering my prayer. Amen.

  1. Hi ,

( Luke 11:28) states:’Jesus said, “blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.’

This will be one way of
explanation, with the following explanatory verses, about the blessings
that we get by keeping the word of God :
    #######

    1) Due to the word of God
    we get new birth.

    (1 Peter 1: 23 )states :
‘ Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word
of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.’

    2) Due to the word of God we live.

( Matthew 4: 4) says:Jesus said to the tempter, “Man shall not live by bread
    alone, but by every word
that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

    3)And, will never see death.

    ( John 8 : 51)says:’ Jesus
said, “If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death, but will pass from death unto everlasting life.’
    (John 5 : 24)

    4) We remain in God .

( 1John 2:5 )says :’Whoso keepeth His word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know
we that we are in him.’

    5) And become partakers
    of the divine nature.

    ( 2 Peter 1: 4) states :
‘Whereby are given unto us exceeding great & precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption
that is in the world through lust.’

    6) We come to know the knowledge & vision of the Almighty. (Num. 24 :16)

    7) The word of God keeps
    us from sinning.
    ( Psa.119: 11)

    8) Jesus will like us unto
    a wise man.

    ( Matt.7 : 24)says : Jesus
said, “Whosoever heareth these sayings of mine & doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which
built his house upon a rock.’

    9) We will bringforth fruit.

    ( Luke 8:15 ) says :’ That
    on the good ground are
they, which in an honest & good heart, having heard
the word, keep it,& bring forth fruit with patience.’

    10) We get, what we ask.

    (John 15:7 )says: Jesus
said, “If ye abide in me &
my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will,& it shall be done unto you.’

    11) We can fight against
    satan with the sword of
    the Spirit:the word of God.’
    ( Ephesians 6:17)

    12) We become complete,
    & equipped for every good
    work. ( 2 Timo. 3 : 17)
