Verse – Psalm 121:1-2
I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Thoughts
When hills are all you see when you lift your eyes, that probably means you have found yourself in the middle of the wilderness. You may be in a situation where nobody wants to help you and you find yourself stranded.
The world has become a place where people who can help do not want to and those who try to help get taken advantage of.
However, you should know as a Christian that you are never alone. When you lift up your eyes and there’s no help around you know that God is just a whisper away.
This song speaks to the believer’s toils and tribulations in life. Know that you still live in a fallen world. Christ is your hope of glory but that does not mean that you are neglected here on earth.
Remember that when Christ walked the earth, he spent his time healing the sick and doing good. That means that God wants us to live a fulfilling and liberated life here on earth as well. Speak to Him always and not only when you find yourself in trouble and He will be there for you always.

Psalm 121:1-2 – Prayer
Dear Lord,
I lift my eyes to You, my constant help and strength.
When I am down, I will look to You for comfort and hope.
When I fall, I will trust in Your unfailing support to lift me up.
When I am sick, I know You are my healer, bringing restoration to my body and soul.
When I am in need, You are my provider, supplying all that I lack.
When I am accused, You are my liberator, defending and vindicating me.
When my heart is heavy with sadness, You are my healer, bringing peace and joy.
And as each new day begins, You are my faithful partner, walking with me every step of the way.
Amen.
