Luke 2:13-14 – The Birth Of The Saviour

Date:

Verse – Luke 2:13-14

Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

Thoughts

The birth of Jesus Christ is one of the most remarkable things in the life of every Christian. Imagine the happiness and joy in God’s heart, knowing that finally He’d be able to reconcile mankind to Himself.

When the angel appeared to the wise men, announcing the peace that would come to those who accept Him, they understood how significant this moment would be. The Prince of Peace, the King of Kings, the Messiah had been born. His humble arrival in a lowly manger showed that He came for everyone, the broken, the sick, the rich, the poor, the lost.

Christmas reminds us of this miracle. It marks the beginning of the fulfillment of God’s promise through the prophet Isaiah, that one day the Savior would come and be called Immanuel, “God with us.” It’s a day Christians cherish as the moment when new hope became real. We’re called to share this good news with others and to let them know that there is a wonderful life after death and that this is not the end, and that true hope is found in God.
