Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Devotional
Joshua was poised to succeed Moses after the Lord had told him he would not cross the Jordan. The Lord then commanded them to go into the promised land and take dominion over it. He told Joshua to be strong and courageous because He had already handed it over to the Israelites. This shows that we must take every word that comes out of the mouth of God very seriously.
Even though there were great armies on the other side of the Jordan, Joshua led the Israelites to conquer them because of what the Lord had said. This means that God’s words and commands concerning our lives constitute spiritual battles that He has already won.
Whatever challenges we face have already been overcome by the Lord. That means the only thing we need to do is be courageous and strong. We must not be terrified by how huge or scary the battles ahead of us appear to be. We must press on in faith and conviction of the fact that we have already won the battle ahead of us.
We must always know that God will not leave us or forsake us. We must also understand that whatever He has said is already accomplished in the spirit and we need only walk into our victory with faith and strength.
So if you are battling a demonic spirit in your life, read what the word of God has said about you and demonic spirits. “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you” Luke 10:19 quotes Jesus directly giving his disciples the authority to overcome demons and evil spirits. All you need to do now is believe his words to be true and walk with courage and strength.

Prayer
Dear Lord,
Thank You for saving me from destruction. Thank you for speaking concerning my life. I am grateful for Your promises and ask that You help me to fully accept them with faith and trust. Teach me to listen attentively to Your word and rely on it in every situation. Grant me strength and courage to face whatever lies ahead without fear, knowing that You are with me. Let me not be fearful of what is on the other side. Let me overcome challenges boldly, confident in Your protection and guidance.
I pray that Your prophecies and plans for my life be fulfilled, and that I may walk in the purpose You have set before me. Give me dominion over any spiritual evil that tries to stand in my way. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray.
