Verse – John 11:25-26

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Devotional

This Christmas, carry one message in your heart: Christ was born so that you could have life and have it eternally. Everything around you in the natural world has an expiration date. Physical things cannot last forever, but spiritual beings endure. God is spirit, and those who wish to dwell eternally with Him must exist as He does.

Your key to eternal life with God is through Christ Jesus. In a moment of grief, He comforted the sister of His friend Lazarus after his death. While it is natural to feel sadness when someone we love passes away, Christ reminds us that He is the resurrection and the life. The resurrection He speaks of is not physical, but spiritual. The life He offers is eternal life.

Believing in Christ means accepting both the resurrection and the promise of eternity. Carry this message in your heart this Christmas and share it with everyone you meet.

I have the spirit of Christ in my heart and i will be resurrected after death and spend eternity with the Lord my Maker.

Prayer

Dear Lord,

Thank you for this precious gift of life. Thank you for creating my spirit and for bringing me into communion with You. I am forever grateful for the reconciliation You have made possible through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I thank You for making my spirit one with Christ, and for the eternal bond we share through Your love and grace.

Lord, I lift up those who are lost, those who have not yet discovered the truth of Your love. I ask that You guide them, open their hearts to Your presence, and help them to see the path that leads to salvation. Let them experience resurrection in glory, both in spirit and in the fullness of Your eternal life. Let them find peace and eternal joy in You.
Amen.
